I’d like to share this delicious fresh tomato salad recipe made with organic, home-grown tomatoes, fresh basil, and mozzarella.

There is nothing like fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, especially tomatoes.  There is a huge difference between tomatoes eaten fresh off the vine as compared to store-bought tomatoes that have been grown, shipped, ripened and preserved with the use of chemicals and artificial preservatives.

Not only is there a drastic difference in nutritional value, but there is a huge difference in the taste as well.

Following is a delicious and healthy recipe using these mouth-watering tomatoes:

Caprese salad made with delicious fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 4 oz mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Slice tomatoes.

  2. Cut and slice mozzarella into bite-size pieces.

  3. Cut basil leaves into bite-size pieces.

  4. Arrange tomatoes, mozzarella and basil in a serving dish.

  5. Drizzle olive oil over tomatoes.

  6. Add sea salt.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
